Expansion of Airport

MIHAN India Limited (MIL) had floated the Request for Qualification (RFQ) tender for selection of developer for the ‘Up-gradation, Modernization, Operation and Maintenance of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur through Public-Private Partnership (PPP) on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis in May 2016. The tender was issued vide Reference No MIL/NGP/267-C/2016/1410 dated 12-05-2016.

Six (6) applicants, namely (1) Essel Infraprojects Limited, (2) GMR Airport Limited, (3) GVK Airport Developers Limited, (4) PNC Infratech Limited, (5) Consortium comprising Tata Realty & Infrastructure Limited (TRIL) and Tata Projects Limited (TPL) and (6) IRB Projects Ltd applied pursuant to the notification of the RFQ. However, before proceeding with the notification of the RFP documents, it was intended to seek the requisite security clearance from Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, of the applicants. All applicants except M/s. IRB Projects Limited submitted all the requisite documents required for submission to MHA.

Accordingly MIL sent the relevant details to Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India in respect of five (5) shortlisted bidders, who have submitted requisite information by the stipulated deadline out of the total six (6) applicants, seeking approval for applicants shortlisted for undertaking ‘Up-gradation, Modernization, Operation and Maintenance of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur through PPP on DBFOT basis. The names of the shortlisted applicants are mentioned below:

This is to inform that the Security Clearance has been received from MHA after which MIL approached Government of Maharashtra (GoM) for grant of approval for issuance of Request For Proposal (RFP) and Concession Agreement (CA) to the abovementioned shortlisted applicants.

In the Board Meeting held on 4th October 2017 at the Registered Office of the Company, MIL Board has accorded its approval for the Request for Proposal and Draft Concession Agreement.

The finalized copy of the draft Concession Agreement and the Request for Proposal as approved by the Board of MIL on 4th October 2017 has been submitted before the State Government of Maharashtra for their approval before issuing RFP to the aforesaid five bidders.
